Pictorial Moments from the Zimbabwe Poetry Festival
These poets traveled from different regions of Zimbabwe to participate in this ground-breaking event in Harare. Some came all the
way from Zambia, Namibia and other countries in Southern Africa. The Festival ran from December 10 to 12.
Faculty Readings Close Fall Poetry Series at Cosumnes River College
To mark the end of the Fall "Poetry Reading Series" at Cosumnes River College, faculty poets from the English
Department read their works December 12 in the college bookstore. The seven poets who read are: Lisa Abraham,
Samuel Iniguez, Lesley Gale, Dennis Hock, David Weinshilboum, Heather Hutcheson, and Michael Pulley. It was a
display of local talent that drew student and staff audiences. Munyori Poetry Journal captured some of the reading
moments, and below are randomly selected pictures of the reading event:
Mary Zeppa Awarded Fellowship by the Virginia Center for Creative Arts

Mary Zeppa of Sacramento, California, has been awarded a fellowship by the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). The VCCA is located near Sweer
Briar College in rural Virginia. Mary Zeppa will be among the approximately 20 Fellows focusing on their own creative projects at this working retreat for visual
artists, writers and composers.
VCCA serves more than 300 artists a year and is one of the nation's largest year-round artists' communities.Founded in 1971, the VCCA is supported in large by
grants and private donations. More information about VCCA can be found on their website.
