Ribbon of Hope
Ribbon of hope
Ribbon of hope
Dreaming solace.
Dreaming comfort.
Dreaming consolation.
Dreaming a shoulder to lean on.
Ribbon of hope.
Dreaming peace.
Dreaming sanity.
Dreaming dignity.
Dreaming self identity.
Ribbon of hope.
Dreaming love.
Dreaming joy.
Dreaming gentleness.
Dreaming warmth.
Ribbon of hope.
Ribbon of hope.
This My Contoured Face of Zimbabwe
My face is contoured,
and the men resent and take their feet upon my presence.
Corruption so deeply entrenched has left me with rickets,
a big bomb could pass through.
Egoism has struck one of my arms,
i am maimed.
Violence and aggression have caused the falling of my teeth,
saliva i can hold no more.
The slovely governance has brought with it,
my tattered soiled messy clothes.
Nepotism has seen me
develop unending growths on my breasts.
The reckless propaganda, not only a big belly, but a rude back too,
i could never go swimming with friends.
With the incompetence so catastrophic, i find
i am unable to wash my body, i stink.
My pride and lust keep me on,
i set my eyes on that man sitting in the east.
He seems to like me even in this state....
